Christmas Sprinkle Cookie Bites

Sprinkle Cookie Bites

Christmas Sprinkle Cookie Bites - Perfectly cute and festive little cookie bites!

Cute, festive and delicious… these Sprinkle Cookie Bites are the perfect way to kick off the holiday baking season!
Winter Wonderland Cookies

These little treats start with my tried and true Sugar Cookie Recipe and get a festive little upgrade with sprinkles!  Cut them into little tiny bites and they’re perfect to serve at holiday parties, or pack up in bags or jars as adorable gifts!

I’ve made Sprinkle Sugar Cookies before and they’re just such a great way to add a bit of fun to a classic cookie.  Certainly you could use this recipe to make larger cutout cookies, but this time I cut them into tiny little bites just perfect for snacking.

Feel free to use sprinkles of your choice.  I used Christmas sprinkles that included red, light green, dark green and white.  Keep in mind that the white sprinkles wont show up very much.

These little sprinkle cookie bites are perfect to package as gifts!  Fill a mug or jar with these cuties, add a coffee gift card and you’ve got a little gift perfect for teachers, nurses, friends and neighbors.   Just be sure to save a few cookies for yourself!

  •     The Best Sugar Cookie Dough
  •     Small Square Cookie Cutter
  •     Wilton Nonpareils Christmas Sprinkles
  •     The Best Buttercream Frosting
  •     Americolor Leaf Green Food Coloring
  •     Americolor Super Red Food Coloring

Instructions

  1. Make a half-batch of our Best Sugar Cookie Recipe  and roll out the cookie dough on a floured surface.
  2. We used a small square cookie cutter to cut out our Christmas Sugar Cookie Bites but you could also cut the dough into strips and then cut the strips into square.
  3. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 4-5 minutes.  Check on the cookies at the 4 minute mark, because they are so small you don't want to over bake them.  The edges will be slightly golden when they are ready to come out of the oven.
  4. Next, make a batch of our Best Buttercream Frosting Recipe.  We split this batch into three bowls and colored one batch green using 3 drops of Americolor Leaf Green Food Coloring, one bowl red using 4 drops of Americolor Super Red Food Coloring and left one bowl white.
  5. Frost the Sugar Cookie Bites and add Christmas sprinkles.

Christmas Sugar Cookie Bites

We love Frosted Sugar Cookies.  It is one of a handful of Holiday Treats that we definitely make every Christmas.  This year we tried something new with these Christmas Sugar Cookie Bites and Boy oh Boy were they a hit with the family! They are easy to bake and you don’t need Christmas cookie cutters.  They are so easy to decorate that even the youngest family member can join in on the fun.  And mostly importantly, they are a super delicious bite-sized treat of yummy sugar cookie and creamy buttercream frosting.  You’ll definitely want to add these cookies to your Christmas Baking List this year!

Our Christmas Sugar Cookies Bites start with our Best Sugar Cookie Recipe.  This sugar cookie dough is easy to work with, tastes great and really holds it’s shape during the baking process.  You can find the recipe and detailed instructions on how to make the dough here.  We made a half-batch of our Best Sugar Cookie Recipe and ended up with 100 Christmas Sugar Cookie Bites that were approximately 1 square inch in size.

Ingredients

  •     1 cup (226g) salted butter, cold and diced into 1 Tbsp pieces*
  •     2 1/4 cups (318g) all-purpose flour (scoop and level flour to measure)
  •     1/2 tsp almond extract
  •     2/3 cup (142g) granulated sugar
  •     3 Tbsp (30g) nonpareils sprinkles, divided (any color)

Instructions

  1. Butter a 13 by 9-inch baking dish and line with 2 sheets of parchment paper (one horizontally and one vertically. I also like to butter between parchment sheets so they stick) leaving a 1-inch over hang on all sides, set aside.
  2. In the bowl of an electric stand mixer cream together butter and sugar until well combined. Mix in almond extract.
  3. With mixer set on low speed slowly add in flour and mix until combined (it will take a while and will appear dry and sandy at first but it will start to come together).
  4. Mix and fold in 2 1/2 Tbsp sprinkles. Press dough into an even layer in prepared pan (I did it with my hands first then used the bottom of a flat measuring cup to help smooth it out).
  5. Chill dough in refrigerator 20 - 30 minutes. Meanwhile preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Lift dough from pan using parchment overhang on all sides. Cut into 1/2-inch squares using a large sharp knife (it works best to just cut long rows). Sprinkle more sprinkles over the top if desired and gently press into dough.
  7. Transfer about 1/3 of the cookies to an unbuttered baking sheet (also do not line pan with parchment or silicone liners) and scatter cookies out spacing cookies 1/2-inch apart.
  8. Bake in preheated oven 8 - 12 minutes (keep remaining that aren't currently baking refrigerated). Repeat process with remaining bites, adding them to a cool baking sheet.
  9. Cool completely then transfer to an airtight container and store at room temperature.

Christmas Present Cookie Boxes

Christmas Present Cookie Boxes are a sweet baking project and gift idea in one! Brown sugar cookies are formed into boxes and decorated to look like Christmas presents. Fill them with your favorite treats, like candies, cookies, cupcakes and more!

What are the two best parts of the holiday season? Baking and gift-giving, of course! (Some people might say that eating and gift-getting are the best parts, but around here we’re trying to get on Santa’s Nice List, so let’s keep things selfless, okay?)

What if I told you that we could combine both baking and gifting in one fun—and delicious—recipe? Sold!

These Christmas Present Cookie Boxes just might be cutest things I’ve made all year. First of all, EVERYTHING is cuter in miniature form, and not only are these tiny versions of gift boxes, but they’re filled with even smaller cookies, so it’s like mini cookie inception, and it’s adorable.

Secondly, I just love the thought of gifting someone a fun box filled with candy, and then having them chow down on the box itself after they eat the goodies inside. Tasty AND eco-friendly! We’re basically saving the world over here, one dessert at a time.

Christmas Present Cookie Boxes

Ingredients:

  • 4 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, softened slightly
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • red food coloring (the amount you’ll need with depend on what type you use)
  • 1 cup white frosting or use pre-colored red frosting (I used Betty Crocker vanilla frosting)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Decorations:
  • white modeling chocolate (get recipe, instructions, and troubleshooting tips, here)
  • OR use white or colored fondant
  • green food coloring
  • powdered sugar to dust work surface
  • corn syrup
Supplies Needed:
  • rolling pin
  • gallon size zip top bag, optional or use flour to dust cutting board
  • 2 inch square cookie cutter
  • 1 1/2 inch square cookie cutter, or knife
  • baking trays lined with parchment paper
  • disposable pastry bag or zip top bag

Instructions:

Make the cookie dough:
  1. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder together in a bowl. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in eggs, vanilla, almond extract, and some drops of red food coloring. Add more coloring until you reach the desired shade of red and mix until well combined. Add dry ingredients and stir just until it’s mixed in. Don’t over mix or you will end up with tough cookies.
  2. Rolling out the modeling chocolate to make some delicious Candy Filled Christmas Present Cookies.
  3. Roll your cookie dough out either on a flour dusted cutting board or use this wonderful trick which will not only keep your cookies bright red, but will also keep them from drying out after re-rolling. First, you need to  cut the seams along two perpendicular sides of a gallon size zip top bag. Then, pinch off some of your dough and place it in the zip top bag. Roll the dough out to 1/4″ thickness.I love to use rolling pin rings (the green bands at both ends of my rolling pin) when I make cut-out cookies so I get nice evenly thick cookies.
  4. Simply open the bag along the cut seams to expose the cookie dough. Then, cut out squares using a cookie cutter.
  5. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a small square cookie cutter or a knife to cut the centers out of one third of your cookies. Refrigerate cookies for 30 minutes.Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  6. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes until just the edges begin to brown. Allow cookies to cool completely.
  7. M&M's are a delicious filler for the Candy Filled Christmas Present Cookies.
  8. Color vanilla frosting with red food coloring. Fill a disposable pastry bag or a zip top bag with frosting. Snip off the end of your bag. Pipe a thin line of frosting on the back size of the squares with the hole in the middle. Press onto one of the square cookies.
  9. Fill the hole with small candies. Pipe a thin line of frosting around the edge of the cookies with the holes. Press a square cookie on top. Allow to dry for at least 45 minutes, before decorating so the frosting has time to dry and the cookies stay together.

Oreo Cookie Christmas Ornaments
During the busy holiday season, I like to keep a few quick and easy baking projects in my back pocket in case of dessert emergencies. (Yes, dessert emergencies are a real thing!)

Maybe you need a last-minute gift for teachers or friends. Maybe your way-too-thoughtful neighbors dropped off a cookie plate and you were caught empty-handed. Maybe your kids are bouncing off the walls, asking to make Christmas cookies, but you have the energy and enthusiasm of a sloth with pneumonia. *siren sound* That, my friend, is a dessert emergency.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Total time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  •     20  Oreo Cookies
  •     20  Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
  •     1 pkg  Vanilla CandiQuik   (or white chocolate)
  •     M&M's  (holiday sprinkles for decoration)

Instructions

  • First, line a cookie sheet with waxed paper and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, melt the CandiQuik according to package directions.
  • Once melted, dip each Oreo cookie into the CandiQuik using a fork, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Next, place the coated Oreo onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Immediately, attach one mini Peanut Butter Cup on the top of each Oreo, as an ornament topper and decorate the Oreos with the assorted candies or sprinkles.
  • Refrigerate for at least 10-20 minutes before serving or packaging, or until the white chocolate coating hardens.

The Best Christmas Sugar Cookie Bars

These Christmas Sugar Cookie Bars are perfect for holiday baking! Frosted with homemade buttercream and packed with festive Christmas sprinkles, these sugar cookies bars are great for gift giving or serving a crowd.

Christmas Sugar Cookie Bars

These sugar cookie bars are adapted from my super popular M&M’S Christmas Cookie Bars and are just as delicious. There is something about frosted sugar cookies that immediately sets the mood for the holidays.

Start by mixing the sugar cookie dough in a stand mixer. Then add a cup of Christmas color sprinkles, not nonpareils. Save the nonpareils for sprinkling on top of the frosting. If you mix them into the sugar cookie dough, they will run and make the cookie dough a muddy brown color.

These Christmas sugar cookie bars are nothing new; they’re the same as my Valentine’s Day Sugar Cookie Bars, but with a Christmas twist. The video for this recipe shows the Valentine’s Day candy hearts–just sub in the Christmas M&Ms and everything else is the same!

I decided to bring them back to the front and update them, because my Mom has been talking non-stop about how good they are since she made them in February. She said they’re the best sugar cookie bar recipe ever, and when your Mom gives one of your recipes a title like that, you take note.

I had a Christmas sweater decor idea in mind when decorating these Christmas sugar cookie bars, and used a variety of M&Ms. This year, the purple bag of dark chocolate M&Ms are all green and red, so that’s what I used. Plus, the white chocolate peppermint M&Ms are over-sized white and red.

They might do this every year, but this is my first year buying the seasonal M&Ms because we used them for potty training Camille, hah! (All I wanted for Christmas this year is less laundry! I’ve been washing cloth diapers every 3 days for 2 1/2 years–wish granted! Thanks, Santa

EASY CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIE BARS

EASY CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIE BARS #EASY #CHRISTMAS #SUGAR #COOKIE #BARS Dessert Recipes Easy, Dessert Recipes Healthy, Dessert Recipes For A Crowd, Dessert Recipes Peach, Dessert Recipes Simple, Dessert Recipes Best, Dessert Recipes Fall, Dessert Recipes Chocolate, Dessert Recipes For Summer,
This sugar cookie bar recipe that I am sharing today is literally half sugar cookie and half frosting. They are decadent and delicious. Now, obviously I am using some Christmas-colored sprinkles. But, of course, you can switch these up with whatever colored sprinkles you love.

HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIE BARS:

Preheat oven to 350f degrees. Line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper. Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in egg and vanilla. Finally, beat in flour and baking powder, a little at a time, until you have a thick batter. Gently stir in the sprinkles.

Spread batter into prepared baking pan. Bake at 350f degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. When finished baking, take cookie bar out of the oven and allow it to cool fully. Once cooled, gently lift sides of parchment paper to remove the entire bar from baking pan.

To make the frosting, blend powdered sugar, butter, cream cheese, vanilla and milk with an electric mixer. Spread frosting generously onto cooled cookie bar, and top with additional sprinkles.

EASY CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIE BARS
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes

Ingredients

  •     1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  •     1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  •     1 large egg
  •     3/4 cup granulated sugar
  •     1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  •     /4 teaspoon salt
  •     1/2 teaspoon baking powder
For the frosting:
  •     4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  •     seasonal M&Ms, for decorating
  •     3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •     3 ounces whipped cream cheese (about 1/2 cup)
  •     2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350, and line a 8x8" pan one-way with parchment paper.
  2. In the bowl of a mini stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, make the cookies: add the softened butter and beat on medium-high speed for about 30 seconds, to fluff it up. Slowly pour in the granulated sugar while continuing to beat.
  3. Next, add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat to combine.
  4. Turn off the stand mixer, and sprinkle the flour, baking powder and salt evenly on top.
  5. Turn the mixer back on LOW and beat to incorporate the dry ingredients.
  6. Scoop the batter into the baking pan, and press it flat with your fingers.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean with only a few crumbs. Let cool completely.
  8. In a clean mini stand mixer bowl, make the frosting: beat together the softened butter and cream cheese for 1 minute, until fluffy. Add the vanilla and beat to combine.
  9. Turn the mixer to low and add the powdered sugar one-half cup at a time while continuing to mix.
  10. Add a splash of milk if you think it needs to be thinner.
  11. Spread the frosting over the cooled cookie, decorate with candy, and then slice to serve.

Christmas Sugar Cookie Bars

Skip the rolling out sugar cookies and cutting, them and make these Christmas Sugar Cookie Bars! You get that sugar cookie taste in a bar form, for that no-fuss easy dessert. Slice and serve these up at any holiday party, or an after-dinner dessert. They are buttery, light, and delicious down to the last nibbles of crumbs. Soft and tender sugar cookie bars full of sprinkles, topped with frosting, and a sprinkle of mini M&M’s.

Sugar cookies are my weakness. I think out of all the cookies they are on the top of the list for sure. Whether they are plain, dressed in frosting, sugar, or even in sugar cookie bar form. I can’t resist these holiday sugar cookie bars. We made them last week and let me say they didn’t last long, the kids and I gobbled them right up!

Start with your sugar cookie bar base that is loaded with colorful sprinkles. Bake it up, allow to cool, and then top with frosting and mini red and green M&M’s for the perfect dessert. I have found if you line your cooking sheet with parchment paper, you are able to easily remove the bars, for that perfect edge on each bar. It is up to you if you add this in or not.

BEST COOKIE DOUGH DIP #keto #cookie #dough #dip

This Edible Eggless Cookie Dough Dip is Sugar Free, Low Carb and Keto!

There’s something about cookie dough that makes one drool. Is it the creamy texture? The raw and almost fudge like consistency? Or is it just that sinfulness of eating a bite when you know you probably shouldn’t?

Thick, rich, smooth, and perfect for dipping… it tastes like the lovechild of chocolate chip cookie dough and creamy cheesecake and can be made with just five or six ingredients.

Keto Cookie Dough Dip #keto #cookie #dip #dough

This cookie dough dip tastes like chocolate chip cookies, but is egg free and flour free making it totally safe to eat! Serve your cookie dough dip with graham crackers, vanilla wafers and fruit for a fun and unexpected snack or dessert.

I’m one of those people who can’t resist taking a taste of cookie dough before it goes into the oven. This creamy cookie dough dip has the flavor of chocolate chip cookies and only takes 5 minutes to make.

The best thing about this dip is how quick it is to make. I mentioned earlier that it only takes 5 minutes. However, if you decide to make it in advance, be sure to refrigerate it. If you’re serving the dip after it’s been chilled, give it a little time at room temperature so that it’s soft and spreadable.
