Easy Christmas Marshmallow Pops Recipe

You’ll need a few ingredients.  Jumbo marshmallows, candy canes, mini chocolate chips, and your choice of Christmas sprinkles.  After that, it’s a matter of melting your chocolate in the microwave, dipping your marshmallows, and coating them in sprinkles.  Once the chocolate has set, pop your candy cane in for your stick.  Voila!

Pass these out as a cute gift for classmates by bagging them in cellophane with ribbon and a label.

No need to give the teacher another mug or Christmas ornament.  Again, bag in cellophane but this time use pretty metallic twist ties. Bundle a few marshmallow pops together like a bouquet and tie in place with ribbon.  Pop them into a pretty vase and you have a nice present.

Arrange the marshmallow pops on a pretty plate and you have treats for your own family get together.  Better yet, ditch the store bought cookies and cupcakes for the class party and make these pops, instead.

This easy Christmas marshmallow pops recipe is also a great way to get your kids in the kitchen for some family time.  If your child is old enough, they could complete this recipe with supervision only.  If they are still young, letting them dip the marshmallows is a perfect way to include your little helpers.

Ingredients

  • 12 marshmallows
  • 12 red mini M&Ms
  • 150 g white chocolate
  • 24 green mini M&Ms
  • 250 g milk chocolate

  Instruction

  1. Place one marshmallow onto the top of a cake pop stick.
  2. Repeat with the remaining marshmallows.
  3. Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until just melted (if using a Thermomix, melt on 60 degrees, Speed, 2, 3 minutes - scrape down the sides halfway through).
  4. Dip each stick into the melted chocolate, allow any excess to drip off and then place into a cake pop holder (or a piece of florists foam).
  5. Allow the milk chocolate to set (it will only take a couple of minutes).
  6. Meanwhile, melt and white chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until just melted (if using a Thermomix, melt on 60 degrees, Speed, 2, 2 minutes - scrape down the sides halfway through).
  7. Using a teaspoon, place a dollop of white chocolate onto the top of each marshmallow and use your spoon to push some of the chocolate over the edge (to resemble dripping).
  8. Working quickly, place 2 green mini M&Ms and 1 red mini M&M onto the white chocolate (if your chocolate has already set, simply add a tiny bit of melted chocolate to the bottom of the M&Ms and 'glue' them on).
  9. Tie a ribbon around the base of each marshmallow.
  10. If giving these marshmallow pops as a present, simply wrap in cellophane and tie with ribbon.
