Christmas Wreath Veggie Pizza Appetizer

eggies pizza is one of my favorite easy appetizers to bring to a get-together or serve when I am hosting. I use pre-made crescent roll dough, a layer of seasoned a cream cheese and sour cream blend, and lots of chopped fresh veggies.

When I make this wreath I like to use holiday reds and greens for the veggies. Fresh broccoli, chopped cucumbers, baby tomatoes, and diced red bell pepper work perfectly for garnishes. I especially love to use a red bell pepper for the bow on the Christmas wreath! Other delicious toppings could be green bell pepper, spinach, cauliflower (for a snowy wreath!), green olives, green onion, and chopped roasted red peppers

To serve, I cut the wreath in to wedges and serve it cold or allow it to come just under room temperature. This appetizer never lasts long in a crowd!

Christmas Wreath Veggie Pizza Appetizer
serves 8-10 people

Here's what you will need:

  • 2 packages (8 ounces) crescent rolls
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 cups assorted vegetables, diced
  • ½ pack ranch dressing powdered mix

Directions:

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Remove crescent rolls from the package. Do not unroll. Cut each roll into eight slices. Arrange in a circle on an ungreased 14-inch round pan.
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on the pan for at least 5 minutes before carefully removing to a serving plate to cool completely.
  3. In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing mix until smooth. Then, spread this mixture over the baked rolls. Top with assorted vegetables and cheese. Chill for an hour in the refrigerator before serving.
